Cultural Events

a. Annual Cultural Event

Just like an Annual Technical Festival, a grand annual cultural festival will also be established. It will be a 3-4 day cultural event packed with various small events, competitions and exhibitions.

The festival will see plethora of activities of various formats. There will be dancing, singing, acting competitions. It will have exhibitions of paintings, drawings, sculptures, pottery, technical models and industrial designs. The night will be lit with professional shows of dance, music and other performance arts. There will be events with a social cause like blood donation drives, plantation drives, awareness about various issues and discussion by leading authorities on them.

b. Musical

The students in MAD (Music, Arts and Drama) club will organize various musical events to celebrate the talent within student community. Typically 3-4 events celebrating various genres of music like Film Music, Ghazals, Classical and Western Music shall be organized and performed by students themselves.

Such events are great source of relaxation and fun for students. They also help students to showcase their creative side to the world.

c. Dramatics

Theatre is one most expressive art & it requires a team effort of many people including director, actors, writers, light & sound technicians, costume designer and set designers. A drama is culmination of many talented people with varying skills as mentioned above.

A dramatics event wherein students will prepare and deliver skits and dramas prepared by them. Apart from this a week long theatre fest shall also be organized where professional theatre groups will perform their plays in evening time.

d. Literary Events

University will also organize literary events where students will showcase their works and discuss with experts on the fine art of literature. The events shall also include talks by leading literary figures and Panel discussions on various topics.

e. Dancing

Similar to Musical events, University shall keep on organizing various dancing events where students shall perform showcasing various dance forms like Bharatanatyam, Katthak etc. and many other Styles including western styles.

University shall also invite leading artists to perform at the campus by tying up with SPICMACAY (Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture among Youth), a leading society in India promoting such arts.

f. Exhibitions

For students who are interested in painting, drawing, cartooning, pottery, sculpting etc., University shall organize various events, competitions and exhibitions.A permanent gallery with suitable amenities will be developed in student club area where such exhibitions can take place. Other artists of repute will also be called to showcase their work in front of students and motivate and guide them to excel in their arts.

g. Quizzing Events

Various types of quizzes, like business quiz, sports quiz, general awareness quiz, technical quizzes will be organized from time to time. These quizzes spur students to sharpen their knowledge and spontaneity. Students from neighbouring Institutes shall also be called to participate and bring laurels to their institutes.
