Law is a lucrative, adventurous and thrilling career option. It is in high demand due to changing socio-economic scenario and ever-increasing regulatory role by the Government. There are many specialized branches of law viz. Civil law. Criminal law, corporate law, Taxation law, Labour law, International law, Family law, Constitutional law, Administrative law, Patent law, etc. Recently the career opportunities in Cybercrime, intellectual property and environmental laws are increasing.

The new field like Legal Process Outsourcing (LPO) is emerging and have potential to provide many job opportunities. Many corporate companies viz. Wipro, Infosys, Hindustan lever, ICICI, SAIL, GESCO, Tata Sons, Amarchand Mangaldass Phathak & Associates, ARA Law, DSK Legal, Linklaters (the world’s largest law firm), etc. provide good career opportunities to the law practisers. The popular option for the law graduate is to practice. Law students generally start out with law firms and then set up their own firms. Indian students are proficient in English and their legal skills are on par with their counterparts on the other side of the globe.

At SR Global University we propose to establish School of Legal Studies, it shall offer courses at both under graduate and graduation level in Law stream. In addition to the regular programs, the students would get an opportunity to even opt for integrated courses immediately after their 10+2. Integrated courses would be available in Law stream in combination with graduation in Science, Commerce, Arts, Computer Applications and even Business Administration. The objective of integrated courses would be to give students advantage of knowledge two streams. This opens new avenues to students aspiring for a rapid growth in their professional careers.

The aim of Law school at SR Global University would be to provide an all-round development in order to ensure that the students who pass through its portals don’t just become lawyers but become dedicated professionals with in-depth knowledge, proficient in presentation and communication skills and possess a strong hand on documentation work. Specialization courses would be available in Master’s program where the students can choose from to build their career. Industry experts, professionals and case studies would be an integral part of the curriculum of students; university would develop Moot Courts and well stocked library with books on various branches of law, court judgment copies with prominent standings and the updates on the amendments done in law.

Admission to law courses would be based on merit list to be made on the percentage scored in graduation exams. Admission to LLM course would be on the basis of percentage marks in LLB.
